How to Transfer Liquidity to Active Biswap AMM V3? | Simple Tutorial
During the V3 contracts renewal, Biswap made some changes to the website to simplify the usage of AMM contracts for a better user experience. The active V3 contracts have been through security review and audited by CertiK. You can review the contracts’ audit here https://skynet.certik.com/projects/biswap.
What’s new?
- More efficient utilization of gas as a consequence of decreasing the cost of transactions.
- Enhanced functionality of limit orders, fast and simple process of order execution.
- Optimization of algorithms for finding the optimal exchange path among V3 protocol pools.
Mainly, you will notice active and inactive V3 tabs on liquidity, limit orders, farms, and analytics web pages. If you have provided liquidity to inactive V3 protocol, your liquidity positions are not currently gaining LP and farming rewards. The same thing refers to limit orders, which can’t be executed on the inactive V3 contracts of Biswap.
📍To continue gaining rewards, please, withdraw your liquidity from inactive AMM V3 and move it to an active V3 contract on the website. In this tutorial, we will explain how to do it quickly. Follow along!
📍The data shown in the screenshots below might slightly differ from the actual numbers, names of the token pairs, usual placement, etc. This doesn’t impact the placement of new tabs and buttons concerning inactive\active V3. By reading this guide, you will understand all the changes and easily navigate the website.
Pop-up notification for easy navigation
The Biswap team made a pop-up informing users about contract updates that impacted the website. You will see this notification whether you have inactive liquidity\limit orders or not. If you have inactive liquidity\limit orders, you will be quickly redirected to the needed page by clicking the buttons. Once you put a checkmark not to display the pop-up, it won’t show up again.
Liquidity provision page | How to move from inactive to active V3?
On the liquidity provision page, you can switch to V2, V3 active, and V3 inactive protocols.
1. If you’ve provided liquidity to the old V3 protocol, choose inactive V3.
All your inactive liquidity will be displayed in this section. Click on the ‘My Inactive Liquidity’ button and proceed.
2. There are two tabs: inactive liquidity positions and closed ones. 📍Note, these positions do not accumulate LP rewards as they refer to inactive V3 contract. To earn from trading fees as a liquidity provider, you need to move your liquidity to active V3.
3. Select the preferred inactive liquidity pair of V3 and click the ‘Remove’ button to withdraw your liquidity. 📍Please consider that you may withdraw 100% of provided liquidity. On active V3, you can choose the liquidity amount you wish to withdraw, as it used to work on Biswap.
4. Click the ‘Confirm’ button to verify the liquidity removal.
Perfect, the liquidity removal from inactive V3 contract is completed. Now, you may head to the liquidity provision page and supply liquidity to active AMM V3. In case, you’re wondering how to do become an LP? Here is the detailed guide for you.
Limit orders page | What to do with inactive exchange orders?
On the inactive limit orders page, you will find orders of old V3 contracts which were partly executed or weren’t at all. Therefore, we advise you to cancel your orders interacting with inactive liquidity.
1.Click on the ‘My orders’ button to see all kinds of orders and reach the inactive ones. The red indicator will indicate and show the number of inactive limit orders you have on an inactive liquidity contract. Please, clear the list of inactive limit orders.
2. Choose an inactive tab to view your orders. Click the ‘Claim’ button if your order has been executed partly\completely, or click the ‘Cancel’ button to revoke your uncompleted order.
Here you go, that’s all regarding inactive limit orders. In case your order didn’t cover your needs, you may use active AMM V3 to make your orders with 0% fee and no slippage.
Farms Page | How to transfer farming to active V3?
If you have been earning from V3 Farms, you need to harvest your earned rewards first and then move liquidity to active AMM V3, as we explained earlier in this article.
1. On the Farms page, select inactive V3 to see your Farms.
📍Pay attention, the Biswap team turned off the APRs display for inactive V3 Farms, as BSW rewards no longer accumulating for these Farms. The APRs on active V3 Farms work as regularly. Find out how the average APR on V3 Farms works here.
2. Once you’ve chosen inactive V3, you’ll see your Farms. Click the ‘Harvest’ button to get your farming rewards. 📍Note, the ‘Add Liquidity’ button is not working due to inactivity of old V3 contracts and no reward accumulation for these Farms.
3. After you have harvested your farming rewards, you may click on the ‘Manage’ button in the yellow window. The button will lead you to your inactive V3 positions where you can remove liquidity from the old contract and transfer it to the active one.
That’s it, you have successfully accomplished your harvest!
Analytics page | Review updates of displayed data
On the analytics page, you will find three tabs including Total, V2 and V3. Each tab corresponds to a certain liquidity contract. Once you click on the ‘Total’ tab, you will see the total liquidity of both V2 and V3 contracts.
To analyze data of the V3 contract, click on the ‘V3’ tab first, then scroll down to the ‘Top Pools’ section and pick either ‘active’ or ‘inactive’ data to review.
